This policy explains how Tanager Psychotherapy LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information through this website, our booking and payment tools, and the Marrow community and app. Questions are welcome at [email protected].
Information we collect
- Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address and phone number, when you write, call, book a session or join a program.
- Booking information such as the appointment type, date and time you choose.
- Payment information, which is entered with and processed by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment and never store full card numbers.
- Marrow account information such as your name, email, profile details, and the posts and messages you choose to share inside the community.
- Basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting and analytics tools to keep the site secure and working.
Clinical information
Information shared in therapy is protected health information. It is kept in confidential clinical records and handled under HIPAA and Michigan law, as described in the Notice of Privacy Practices every therapy client receives before their first session. Group programs and the Marrow community are educational, and you choose what you share there.
How we use information
- To schedule and provide sessions, programs and community membership.
- To send invoices, receipts, reminders and replies to your questions.
- To send occasional updates about programs, when you have asked to receive them. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the website, the Marrow app and our accounts secure.
Sharing
We never sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the practice, such as scheduling, payment, email, video and community hosting tools, and only as needed for them to do that work. We also disclose information when the law requires it.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires for clinical and financial records. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or close your Marrow account, by emailing [email protected]. Some records must be kept for a period set by law, and we will tell you if that applies.
Age
Our programs, the Marrow community and the Marrow app are for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we update this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
